Laura Goldschmidt is a curator and researcher based in Copenhagen. After living in Berlin between 2023 and 2024, she has continued to work across Copenhagen, Lund, and Malmö, developing transnational collaborations throughout the Øresund region and beyond.

With more than a decade of international experience, her curatorial practice operates at the intersection of curating, research, artistic production, and strategic development. Fundamentally driven by social and environmental questions, her work engages transhistorical dialogues, ecological thinking, and intergenerational perspectives. Her approach to exhibition-making combines institutional knowledge with experimental and relational methodologies grounded in solidarity, learning, and cultural exchange. Working across exhibitions, publications, public programmes, and research-driven formats, she explores art’s capacity to generate new forms of collective imagination.

Raised in one of the many self-sufficient communes on Langeland, Denmark, that emerged from the collective movements of the 1970s, she traces her early encounters with ecological living and alternative social structures to her later curatorial practice. This background continues to inform her commitment to long-term collaborations, non-hierarchical exhibition formats, and socially engaged forms of knowledge production across installation, sculpture, film, and photography.

Goldschmidt has worked with internationally acclaimed artists and realised exhibitions and public art projects for institutions and galleries across Scandinavia and internationally. She has held leading roles in institutional development, fundraising, artist liaison, and large-scale interdisciplinary productions, including the development of the public artworks Bird Migration and Time Capsule in collaboration with the City of Lund. These projects were developed alongside the co-curation of Agnes Denes’ first institutional solo exhibition in Scandinavia.

Recent curatorial projects include Rooted (2026) with Meriç Algün, Nathalie Djurberg & Hans Berg, Ingela Ihrman, Astrid Svangren, Tamar Guimarães, Olafur Eliasson and others; MANUALS (2025) with Fatima Moallim; 3 summers (2025) with Tarik Kiswanson, Fatima Moallim, and Lisa Tan; Landlines / Linhas Fixas (2024) with Anna Bella Geiger, Renata Lucas, Carla Zaccagnini and others; Exercises in Eco-Logic (2024) with Agnes Denes; and Cultivating Abundance (2024) with Åsa Sonjasdotter.

Goldschmidt holds an MA in Art History from the University of Copenhagen, with further studies at Zürich University of the Arts (ZHdK) in Environmental Thinking in Artistic and Curatorial Practices.
